hello, salworld! welcome to july #disabilitypridemonth !! i'm here to drop my june recap and my july plans!
june was genuinely so stressful... everything ever happened in june. it started off pretty okay. high school seniors graduated on possibly the hottest, sweatiest, stickiest day ever. i also volunteered as a drama camp counselor for two weeks. it was draining! have you ever tried getting 80 kids to they performed i helped choreograph and (these hips do lie, and they lied to you, buck... shakira, shakira..)
during the second week of drama camp, my mom had a medical incident that left her unable to drive for the rest of the year! my family is taking turns driving her around, and all of her jobs are in the worst locations to drive ever! not to mention that when i drive her, she always wants me to take her TRUCK instead of my little itty bitty good lord, it's like maneuvering a limo after only driving a for 20 years.
to end june off, i missed my last appointment with my psychiatrist! i freaked out for a hot minute because i didn't have any more of my medciation, but i lowkey called my pharmacy and they were able to put in another refill. i'll be real i put off calling my pharmacy so i've been off medication for like two weeks... i picked up my prescription literally an hour ago lmao.
july has been pretty fun! i saw with my boyfriend on the 4th of july. i'm not a big america fan or firework fan, but july 4th 2024 was our first official hangout. it's got a special little place in my heart! this year, i worked 4-9 on the 4th, but i had just enough time to shower and make it down to the plaza with ben for the fireworks!
july is grad party city! i've been going to grad parties like every week, and i'm having so much fun! i love all of my friends who've graduated, and i appreciate them inviting me!! tears in my eyes emoji! there was one grad party i had to leave early because i was after swimming in the lake. my lips were reportedly blue for 2.5 hours after i got out. i'm glad i didn't get sick or anything!
artfight also started in july. i've been going through artblock, but i think i'm finally starting to get over it! i've only done four but i'm hoping to get a few more in! i really enjoy participating! i'm on team comedy this year if anyone wants to attack me...
on top of all that, i've been working i'm making good money, but the majority of it is going towards my debt and graduation cards. i've gotten most of the grad cards out of the way, so it's mainly the debt i'm worried about. earlier in june, i got an email from my former college saying i had to spend 40 dabloons on a past-due payment plan or else they would send money collectors after me!!! yikes!
the rest of july should be easy, if not fun and exciting and fun. i'm working less (which is good because i hate working, but bad because i love money), i'm going to a festival, and there's a bunch more grad parties to attend. i'll update you all again when i remember!
the end.
